A Nubian Notion Incorporated is the
brainchild of its Founder and President Sayid Malik A. Abdal-Khallaq.
Known as a leader and pillar of the Roxbury community, Malik was often sought
out by dignitaries and officials visiting the Roxbury area. Personalities
such as Dr. Martin Luther King, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (Malcolm
X), President John F. Kennedy, Minister Louis Farrakhan, Kareem Abdul
Jabbar, Bill Russell, and Bill Cosby just to name a few.
In an effort to
provide the Roxbury community with knowledge, self awareness, and cultural
identity, Sayid Malik A.
Abdal-Khallaq incorporated A Nubian Notion in 1963.
